Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca, the capital of Spain’s Balearic Islands, stands out as a prominent scientific hub and international congress venue. Combining a long-standing history of venerated scientific institutions with cutting-edge research facilities, such as the University of the Balearic Islands, the Mediterranean Institute of Advanced Studies (IMEDEA), and the Balearic Institute of Sanitary Studies (IDISBA), Palma plays a pivotal role for Spain’s research community which has attraced scholars from around the world.

Palma’s strategic location in the Mediterranean region also makes it the ideal setting for scientific congresses with international flights connecting the island to almost all major European cities. With the Palau de Congressos, CIRSE has secured Palma’s biggest conference venue, a state-of-the-art facility boasting numerous auditoria, spacious exhibition halls, and a great number of break-out areas and meeting rooms.
